Start with the conditions you ride in most, then think about what your horse needs.
If you hack out in wet weather and want to keep your horse's hindquarters dry, you need one of our waterproof options. The original waterproof exercise sheet is our straightforward everyday choice — soft breathable lining, tail fillet string, does the job reliably. If you ride in particularly windy conditions where sheets tend to shift, go for the leg strap version instead — the adjustable leg straps give you extra security without any compromise on fit or coverage. If your horse is clipped or you ride in genuinely cold conditions, the fleece-lined waterproof sheet is the one to choose — it adds warmth inside without sacrificing the waterproofing.
If your horse runs warm, or you ride mainly in summer, our mesh exercise sheet is a much better fit than a waterproof option. It's highly breathable, allows maximum airflow, and is also a great choice in autumn and winter for horses that simply don't need the warmth of a waterproof sheet.
If flies and biting insects are the main problem while you're riding, our Zebra Ride-On Fly Rug is in a different category to the others — it's the only style that gives full coverage from neck and chest through to hindquarters, rather than just the hindquarters. The bold zebra stripes create a dazzling optical effect that makes it difficult for flies and biting insects to determine the edge of your horse's body, causing them to veer away rather than land. It's particularly worth considering for horses prone to sweet itch or those that become difficult to ride when insects are bad.
All styles are Broad Fit and all feature fluorescent fabric and 3M reflective strips for road safety.
