The following information tells you the terms and conditions on which we The Big Horse Shop Limited supply any of the products listed on our website to you and how we run the website and manage the personal information you provide us with.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before placing an order from this website. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with our terms and conditions, please do not use this website. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. We reserve the right to change the contents of this website, including these Terms and Conditions, at any time without notice. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are aware of any changes. Your use of the website after a change has been posted will signify your acceptance of the modified Terms and Conditions. We will endeavour to provide uninterrupted, error free access to the website, however this cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the Internet. Occasionally your access may be suspended or restricted to allow updates, upgrades, or repairs, we will try to ensure that this is for the shortest time possible.

Products included on site may be unavailable, may have different attributes than those listed, or may carry a different price than stated on site. In addition, we may make changes in the information about price and availability without notice. The Big Horse Shop Limited reserves the right, without prior notice, to limit the order quantity on any product and/or to refuse service to any customer. The Big Horse Shop Limited also may require verification of information prior to the acceptance and/or shipment of any order.

Pricing & Payment

All products are charged in Great British Pounds and are inclusive of UK VAT at the prevailing rate where applicable.  Any exceptions will be clearly marked on the website where relevant. On very rare occasions due to human error products may appear mispriced, as part of our order confirmation email, prices are verified.  If the correct price is lower than advertised, we will charge the lower price and send you the product.  If the correct price is higher, we will either contact you to advise and request instructions before dispatch or cancel the order notifying you accordingly.

We accept payment by all major debit and credit cards, except Diners Card and American Express. We accept payment with Paypal, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Payment made by gift card can only be refunded in the form of another gift card.

Payment made via cheque or cash is NOT accepted.

PAYMENT BY PAYPAL: Any orders paid using PAYPAL, due to Paypal Fees being so high and now with an extra Cross Border fee neither of which are refundable, should you require a refund these fees will be deducted before any refunds are issued.  


When giving your delivery address it is important to take care and ensure you give the correct information. Incorrect information can lead to delays and in some cases incur additional costs which you will be liable for.

For UK orders, it is very important to choose the correct shipping zone. Full information on shipping zones can be found on our Delivery page. Should the incorrect shipping zone be chosen at the checkout an invoice for the correct shipping will be issued. Only once this is paid will your order be dispatched.

The cost and timescale of delivery can be found on the Delivery page. All delivery timescales shown are an estimation from the dispatch day and cannot be guaranteed. From time to time there may be unpredicted delays which are out of our control. Once the parcel has left the warehouse, we are not liable for the timescale of delivery as this is out of our control.

We aim to dispatch all orders placed before 1pm Monday – Friday that same day. From time to time this may not be possible, and your parcel may have a delayed dispatch. If your parcel faces a delayed dispatch, we will try our best to notify you, however, this isn’t always possible and sometimes you may not be notified.

If you don't receive your parcel by the estimated delivery date you must report this to us within 5 days. Failure to report to us in this timeframe will result in us unable to claim for any loss and will waiver your right to a replacement order or refund.

All delivery is on a signatory service meaning a signature is required upon delivery of your parcel, and it cannot be left in a safe place. Should you leave instructions for your parcel to be left without a signature, it is at your own risk, and we are therefore not liable for loss or damage.

Delivery will be attempted 2-3 times. If your order is returned to the warehouse due to failed delivery it will result in a return to sender fee and an additional shipping charge to be redelivered. Return fees can be found on our Delivery page.

All shipments outside of the UK are sent DDU (Delivery Duties Unpaid). This means when your parcel arrives in the destination country you will be liable to import duties and taxes. It is important we have a mobile number and email address (please check they are correct). Once your parcel arrives in your Country, you will be contacted by the Courier (check your spam folder). The Courier will send you a payment link to collect any taxes, duties, handling fees due on your order before delivery.

Please note we can not ship to PO Boxes. For orders outside of the UK being delivered to a Business addresses we will need a Registered VAT Number for customs clearance.

For Rest of World orders shipping charges are set at a default of TBC which means to be confirmed and is not the final shipping charge. The carrier costs varies based on weight & volume and will have to be individually quoted. Please contact us with an itemised list of your cart along with your address to enable us to give you an accurate quote. Should you place your order before emailing for a quote and decide to cancel your order - any card or Paypal fees will be deducted from your refund.


You have the right to return any Epic Equestrian product you purchased on our website,, within 14 days from receiving your original order for a full refund of the items purchased or within 30 days from the order date for an exchange or credit note only. You can do this for any reason. Please see the important information on the Returns & Exchanges page and instructions on how to return your product under this policy. Please note we can’t process any return without receiving the item in the warehouse.

Where an original order has been returned for an exchange, should the exchanged order be returned to us for a refund, this will only be eligible for a gift card should it be returned to us within 14 days of receiving the item and meet our returns checklist.

In the event where an item is returned to us in an unsuitable condition (worn, dirty, without tags, without packaging, altered or defaced in any way), your return will either be rejected and returned to you at your cost. Or, in some circumstances we reserve the right to offer a credit note minus a damage fee. The percentage of the value withheld from the refund amount will be determined by us dependant on the degree of damage or dirt. By placing an order, you accept that The Big Horse Shop Ltd.’s decision as to the suitable condition of a return is final and is not subject to appeal.

Should this happen, your item will be returned to you, and you will be liable for the shipping charges of this. Please note the shipping charge will not be subsidised as it is for online orders and soiled returns will be charged the full carrier rate.

If you wish to return an item, please contact customer services.

All returns are at the customers expense and unfortunately, we cannot refund these costs.

All returns made that incurred promotional shipping rates either reduced or free, will be deducted the full shipping charge at the time of purchase from any refund or gift card given.

If you believe your item to be faulty or damaged, please contact customer services along with images of the faults before returning the item to us. All items on our website with the exception of all horse boots, including travel boots, brushing boots, overreach boots, or, goods sold as NQP, are covered by a 1-year manufacturing guarantee from the date of the invoice. They are not covered for accidental damage, excessive wear, misuse or general wear and tear. Proof of purchase must be provided; we will not accept any goods that have not been sold directly by us. Goods damaged in your opinion though poor manufacturing or defective materials should be returned for inspection, should the inspection deem the item is damaged through accidental damage, excessive wear, misuse or general wear and tear, we reserve the right to refuse the return. Should this happen, the item will be returned to you, and you will be liable for the shipping charges of this. You should not continue to use the item when damaged. In doing so you will be deemed to have accepted the item in its damaged state, thus voiding your guarantee. 

In some cases a gift card may be offered in lieu of a replacement or refund, should this happen you will be deemed to have accepted the item in its damaged state, and will not be able to later claim under the 1 year guarantee for any reason.

Postage fees (up to a value of £6.50) for any justified damage will be reimbursed in the form of a gift card. We recommend using an online courier to process your return.

Cancelling an Order

You can cancel your order within a specific timeframe due to the order processing efficiency.

If you wish to cancel your order you must do this before you receive your dispatch notification.

Once your order has been dispatched you will not be able to cancel your order. Should you wish to return your order after this time you will be liable to cover any shipping / return costs.

International Customers

Although this website is designed with UK customers in mind, we ship worldwide. All prices shown on this website are inclusive of UK VAT at 20%. Some countries are not liable to pay VAT, in this case the VAT will automatically be deducted at the checkout.

Depending on the weight and volume of your order, your parcel may or may not be charged customs or import duties & tax. If your parcel is charged import duties and taxes, it is up to the person receiving the parcel to cover the costs. Unfortunately, these charges vary from country to country, therefore we cannot predict what your charges may be. We recommend contacting your local customs office for full details and regulations.

Due to high payment processing fees, all orders from outside the UK, should you require a refund these fees will be deducted before any refunds are issued.

Your Details

When registering your details; you are responsible for ensuring that your account details and passwords remain confidential. The information and details you provide are correct and complete. You accept full responsibility for all activities occurring under your account and password. You must contact us immediately if you believe your account is being misused in anyway or if the information, we hold is incorrect.

The Big Horse Shop Limited reserves the right, at our discretion; to edit or remove content, refuse access to the website, and cancel orders. If orders are cancelled, it will be without charge, you will be notified immediately. Note: We are unable to add or amend orders after you press the Order Now button.

Promotional Offers

Promotional offers such as discount codes or automatic discounts are redeemable at the checkout area on our website or via our borderline where able. Discounts can't be redeemed or refunded for a cash amount. Discount codes can not be used in conjunction with sale items or any promotional shipping rates. From time to time there can be a website error where a promotional code has been redeemed which doesn't meet our terms and conditions. Should this happen, we reserve the right to deny the discount, in which case an invoice for the remaining amount will be issued.

Where the promotional offer has been buy X get Y, any returns made from an order using that promotional offer, any free item or discounted item must also be returned. Should the Y item not be returned alongside item X, the full price of the items will be deducted from any refunds made or gift cards given.

The new customer discount is only valid on first time orders. This discount can not be used on sale items or in conjunction with promotional shipping rates.

Gift Vouchers

  • Gift vouchers are redeemable in the checkout area against any merchandise online at or over the phone (01254 279666) directly with us only
  • Multiple gift vouchers cannot be redeemed in the same transaction
  • Any gift voucher amount must be spent in full and any amount remaining will not be carried forward or refunded
  • Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for a cash amount
  • Gift vouchers cannot be replaced if lost
  • Gift vouchers cannot be returned or refunded
  • Gift vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount codes, but CAN be used on sale items (except returned goods)
  • The Big Horse Shop reserves the right to refuse to accept a gift voucher which it deems to have been tampered with, duplicated, damaged or which otherwise is suspected to be affected from fraud
  • The Big Horse Shop reserves the right to change any of these terms and conditions from time to time without notice and to take appropriate action including cancellation of the voucher if, at its discretion, it deems such action necessary
