Keep your horse warm and protected this winter with our Epic Classic 100g Turnout Rug in Blue Diamond. The 100g thermo-bonded polyfill delivers solid insulation through the colder months. What makes the Classic the smarter long-term investment is the built-in liner attachment system: if temperatures drop further, simply add a 50g, 100g, 200g or 300g liner to adapt the warmth to your horse's specific needs without needing a different weighted outer.
Finding a turnout rug that genuinely fits a broader horse can be a challenge. The broad fit is designed specifically for horses with broader chests, bigger shoulders and thick muscular necks — cut with a larger neckline, lower chest fastenings and extra large shoulder gussets so the rug sits correctly without rubbing the shoulders, pulling tight at the chest or digging in at the neck. If your horse is light to medium in build, our Regular Fit Classic will be the better choice.

My fjord has always been in “ normal “ rugs and fit them ok, however none of them have a neck that fits over her mane ( google fjords and look at their mane 😉) the rug is quite deep on her but she just looks really snug and it’s completely waterproof even in massive prolonged downpours

Was impressed with the speed of the delivery and was a lovely rug and a great fit however on the first day of wearing she came in with the stitching holding on the front buckle undone.
Lovely colour which has received many compliments. The rug fits my broad halflinger perfectly. I use the neck when the weather gets wet or during the night and then take it off in the sunshine. I also have rug liners to attach when the temperature drops. Epic is the only brand of rugs I use for her. Very quick delivery too!

I have been using the big horse shop for a number of years for rugs for differing horses. I find them invaluable for big shouldered animals. Even though my horses are not draft horses, they still take a big shouldered rug. The rugs provide of room and no rubbing. Happy horses.
I’ve tried so many brands and every single one eventually rubs my Highland cross at the shoulders. He’s now had the Epic Classic turnout on for almost a month and he wears it night and day at the moment, not a single rub and it stays in place when rolling out in the field.
