When the cold sets in, our Classic 200g Broad Fit Stable Rug keeps your heavier horse warm through the hardest winter nights in the stable. And when temperatures become extreme, the rug liner attachments let you add an extra layer of insulation without needing a second rug — one rug, fully adaptable to the season.
Unlike off-the-shelf sizing, every rug in our Broad Fit range is developed using measurements taken from real broader, heavier horses — so the fit is precise, not guesswork. A larger cut neckline, extra-large shoulder gussets and extended rug depth give your horse full coverage and true freedom of movement, with no pressure, rubbing or tightness.

This is a great rug, and fantastic value. But I’ve only given 4 stars because I’m having difficulty with your sizing. Basically it comes up very big even though I sized down. I then thought I’d just buy another in a smaller size but you didn’t have this particular rug available. So I chose another broad fit in a smaller size and it’s really a bit short on my mare. So I left not know what size to go for. However I love the wide neckline as I’m sick of standard rugs wrecking her mane.
After much slipping, rubbing and bum exposing, I am sure my shire cob cross horse is delighted with his new smart Christmas pyjamas!

Amazing stable rug and the only ones I use on my Spanish horse, who is very broad and we struggle to find anything to fit that doesn’t slip round and is long enough/not skirt like. Since finding the big horse shop, I won’t have any other stable rugs. They last and are great quality, only buying another as horse has grown again! Thankyou for creating such a great product with real horses in mind!
