Our Essential 200g Turnout Rug is designed for everyday turnout protection during extreme cold and wet weather. It’s our medium weight with 200g thermo-bonded filling, ideal for subzero temperatures and clipped horses.
Made using a tough and durable 1200 denier outer fabric. It’s highly breathable and waterproof with a rating of 5,000mm+ / 5,000g/m2+ and an added waterproof membrane for enhanced weather protection. The antibacterial, anti-static lining protects your horse's coat, maintaining its natural shine and health.
Our fit-first design gives your horse complete freedom of movement, with a larger cut neckline to accommodate a broader chest, thick muscular neck and big shoulders. Lower chest fastenings that follow your horse’s natural shape, eliminating pressure at the neck and over the wither. Extra large shoulder gussets give your horse unrestricted comfort without tightness or rubbing for everyday use.
No more mini skirts! All of our rugs have the correct rug depth so your horse is fully covered and protected from the elements, including a substantial tail flap.
Security features include twin chest buckles with D rings allowing you to customise the fit depending on your horses chest size. Adjustable low cross surcingles to keep the rug secure during turnout, and adjustable, detachable leg straps giving you the option to have a tail fillet strap if you prefer.
For added visibility we’ve added reflective strips on all for corner and the tail flap.
To give your horse more coverage there is an option to add a detachable neck cover.
