    How to Measure Your Horse for the Best Rug Fit

    1. Use a fabric tape measure or twine for precision.
    2. Start at the center of the chest, where the rug would fasten.
    3. Measure along the side of the body, following the curve of the shoulder, in a straight line to the furthest point of the hindquarters - not all the way to the tail. We recommend placing a broom behind your horse's hind and measuring to that point.
    4. For the most accurate results, measure in centimeters and take the measurement 2-3 times.

    • Broad Fit – Perfect for medium+, heavy horses / ponies, and draft breeds with deep barrels, broad chests, and muscular builds.
    • Regular Fit – Designed for light - medium weight horses and ponies with a regular sized chest and neck.

    We always recommend trying an item on before use, especially when trying a different style. This is in case you need to return it for a smaller size, you are able to do so. If your horse is in-between sizes, we recommend opting for the bigger size, however, with horse rugs that have a back seam, they sit more contoured to the horse's body which can sometimes give a more generous fit. Some customers have found they can sometimes go down 1 size in rugs with a back seam when their horse is in-between sizes.

    Our Classic Summer Sheet with a detachable neck cover give you the versatility you need during warmer weather. It's designed to provide lightweight coverage to protect against against biting insects, dust, dirt and sun bleaching. It can be used in the stable, whilst traveling and as a fly rug alternative for summer turnout.

    Made from a tough and durable 900 denier outer, it’s lightweight and highly breathable to ensure your horse stays cool comfortable and protected. Soft antibacterial, anti-static lining over the mane, chest and shoulder area, and tail flap, help prevent rubbing and protects your horse's coat, maintaining its natural shine and health. 

    Our fit-first design gives your horse complete freedom of movement. A more generous cut neckline that follows your horse’s natural shape and extra large shoulder gussets give your horse unrestricted comfort without tightness or rubbing for everyday use. Giving your horse full head-to-tail protection, the detachable neck cover features an extended length to match your horses natural neck extension as they graze, preventing any gaps for biting insects to get in.

    No more mini skirts! All of our rugs have the correct rug depth so your horse is fully covered and protected from the elements, including a substantial tail flap.

    Security features include twin chest buckles with D rings allowing you to customise the fit depending on your horses chest size. Adjustable low cross surcingles to keep the rug secure during turnout, and adjustable, detachable leg straps giving you the option to have a tail fillet strap if you prefer.
