Protect your horse from biting insects and harmful UV rays during turnout with our Classic PVC Fly Mask — designed for all horse types including broad, heavy and draft breeds. Made from durable, highly breathable PVC mesh with approximately 70% UV protection, this fly mask delivers full face and ear coverage without interfering with vision or movement in the field.
Unlike standard fly masks that sit too close to the eye or fail to cover sensitive pink muzzles, our fit-first design features structured darts to keep the mask clear of your horse's eyes, reducing irritation throughout the day. An extended nose guard provides full muzzle coverage for horses with sensitive pink skin, while soft fleece anti-rub binding along key contact points prevents rubbing during extended wear. Adjustable Velcro fastenings with added length can be cut to size for a more customised fit across a wide range of head shapes.

Very happy with everything I've had off you so far. The coat's very comfy and actually long enough for me. And Bessie's headcollar and fly mask fit perfectly. I thought the draft size would be too big when they arrived but they're both perfect with enough holes to go up or down, and enough fly mask to cover all of her hair as well as her face.

Finally found a mask that fits my big boy. The XFull fits my 16hh shire X well but I've made some adjustments. I made it tighter at the top between his ears and cut a hole for his forelock. Be careful if you cut the mesh as the fibres are very fine like fibre glass and get up your nose and in your eyes. I sewed a fleece liner round the hole. He has been wearing it all summer and only just seeing some signs of wear and tear on the velcro. Washes nicely in the machine on a gentle cycle. Have ordered a second one so I have a spare.
The sizing is good and the throat is very adjustable so should fit almost anything out there. Love the design and material.

We bought the draught size for our 18.2 RID and our shire x who have really big heads and they fit so well and even had straps with plenty spare material on so they could fit and close properly

Fabulous fit
I loved the quality and feel and sturdy straps, but the sizing comes up really big. Our 17hh ID x takes an XL bridle, head collar and fly mask (from other brands) but this X Full mask was HUGE on him, both in length and width. I’m sending back to exchange for a Full

Cannot recommend The Big Horse Shops ‘Epic Classic PVC Fly Mask’ highly enough, having spent hundreds of pounds on fly mask protection for our sweetitch horse!
Summer, 2022 I bought the PVC Fly mask for our Belgian X Friesian gelding who suffers severely from sweetitch, which we knew when we bought him. In the ten years since we’ve had him I have bought all sorts of makes and brands of fly masks, spent hundreds of pounds trying to ease his misery and NONE have gone the distance with his incessant itching!
August, 2022 I bought The Big Horse shops PVC fly mask version to try and WOW he did not damage it at all for the rest of the summer! He didn’t manage to get it off with scratching on his leg or water trough!
There is plenty of room in it! head length wise (fully covers to below his nose), width wise (he has a massive head (Belgian part of him!).
Because it is the PVC version it is so so strong! The price is also very reasonable AND with product strength and quality included.
This fly mask has been an absolute life changer for our sweetitch horse and our three other horses now have them for the approaching 2023 season. Long may The Big Horse Shop continue to produce these fly masks!!!
