HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HORSE FOR A RUG

With a fabric tape measure or twine, measure from the middle of the chest where the rug would fasten, around the curves of the shoulder, following the body in a straight line to the furthest point of the hind quarters - but not all the way to the tail. We recommend measuring in cm for the most accuracy and to be sure you have got the correct measurement, it is a good idea to measure 2-3 times. This measurement can be used as a guide for your rug size, if you are still unsure please call 01254 279666 for further help.

Medium weight heavy horse turnout neck cover is the perfect addition to your medium weight heavy horse turnout rug.

This heavy horse turnout neck cover comes with 200g filling for a medium weight covering for your heavy horse. Our Epic Classic heavy horse turnout neck covers feature an advanced waterproof and breathability rating as well as an added Teflon™ treatment to repel dirt and water.

This heavy horse turnout neck cover is designed specifically for a thick muscular neck typically found in Traditional Gypsy Cobs, Irish Cobs, Shire horses, Clydesdales, Belgium Draft horses, Iberian horses, Percheron horses, Irish Draught horses etc

SIZE GUIDE

This item is true to size and we recommend opting for your horse's usual size.

If you have an Iberian horse the horse neck cover size suggestion will be different from the typical. Customers with these breeds usually take sizes Large or Extra Large depending on how muscular their horse's neck is.

Medium is designed for horses & ponies with a short muscular neck, these horses will usually take a 5'9 - 6'3 size horse rug.

Hunter is designed for hunter type horses with a longer muscular neck, these horses will usually take a 6'6 - 6'9 size horse rug. The hunter size is the same width as the medium but is longer in length.

Large is designed for horses with thick muscular necks, these horses usually take a 6'9 - 7'0 size horse rug.

Extra Large is designed for horses with very thick muscular necks, these horses usually take a 7'3 - 7'6 size horse rug.
