Ice blasts, bitter winds and sub-zero temperatures — our Epic Classic 200g Turnout Rug in Purple Diamond is made for the very worst of winter. With 200g of thermo-bonded polyfill and the built-in liner attachment system, you can add a further 50g, 100g, 200g or 300g liner as the temperature drops even further — our most versatile rug for keeping your horse warm and protected right through the coldest months.
Finding a turnout rug that genuinely fits a broader horse can be a challenge. The broad fit is designed specifically for horses with broader chests, bigger shoulders and thick muscular necks — cut with a larger neckline, lower chest fastenings and extra large shoulder gussets so the rug sits correctly without rubbing the shoulders, pulling tight at the chest or digging in at the neck. If your horse is light to medium in build, our Regular Fit Classic 200g will be the better choice.

I was going to wait until it got cold here and I could include a photo of my horse with his new blanket. It was a perfect transaction. The blanket arrived very quickly. Excellent fit for my warmblood cross shire! I’ve struggled so long to find a good fit around her chest and bottom but this rug is perfect.

Bought the broad 7 6" for my 18h percheron mare, built like a tank! She absolutely loves it, super fit, very cosy, so much so she takes naps in it. Stays in place and keeps her dry and warm. Friendly and efficient service, would recommend for the fuller figure.
I have been buying Epic rugs for a while now and am always very impressed with them. I found the company as I needed big rugs for my Clydesdale 18.2hh stallion., but have found them to be so good I also now by them for my normal sized horses too. They offer a solution for people looking for top end / Premier Equine standard rugs but without the big price tag. These rugs offer high spec features, a brilliant cut (both for normal or broad horses) and come in funky colours, and all for not very much more money than the price of the unbranded 600d eBay specials that only last 5 minutes before ripping... definitely a very good buy for the discerning rug buyers out there!
The quality is outstanding, really hard wearing and very waterproof. Everything about it says it's made to last. I have several of these rugs for my Andalusian and I.D x T B who live out 24/7, plenty of room for the big shoulders and neck. Good bum coverage and side depth with not a single rub. The only time since I started buying these rugs that I have had to throw one away was when the I D x dragged it of the tack room, stood on it and ripped the lining out 😭 Still made use of what was left as a very waterproof cover for the Rabbit run!
