How to Measure Your Horse for the Best Rug Fit

Finding the right rug size is essential for your horse’s comfort and protection. Follow these simple steps to measure your horse accurately:

Use a fabric tape measure or twine for precision.
Start at the center of the chest, where the rug would fasten.
Measure along the side of the body, following the curve of the shoulder, in a straight line to the furthest point of the hindquarters - not all the way to the tail. We recommend placing a broom behind your horse's hind and measuring to that point.
For the most accurate results, measure in centimeters and take the measurement 2-3 times.

If your current horse rug is a good fit in length from your horse's chest - hind, but you find the horse rug is tight at the chest area, try that same size in our horse rugs.

Thank you for your brilliant rugs, have been using the big horse shop for years now and I must say that the quality of all the rugs I have purchased has been excellent, they are easy to fit with very good spring clips for the front and back leg straps belly straps the broad fit is the best fitting rugs I have ever used and the hoods fit my big girls and the rugs don’t move I have one that loves to roll goes over 3-4 times and gets up shakes the rug stays in place never moves, I have a regular fit size also and her rugs are just the same, I would recommend Epic Equestrian’s rugs to all of you that read this review.
