If your horse has a broader chest, bigger shoulders or a thick muscular neck and you're looking for a transitional rug to see them through the changing seasons, our Epic Essential 40g Turnout Rug in Red is exactly what you need. Cut with a larger neckline, lower chest fastenings and extra large shoulder gussets so the rug sits correctly without rubbing the shoulders, pulling tight at the chest or digging in at the neck.
The 40g thermo-bonded polyfill adds just enough warmth for those in-between days when the no fill isn't quite enough, and helps prevent condensation building up on the inside of the rug as temperatures start to fall.

This is a brilliant rug, loads of room in the shoulders and deep enough to cover her belly. I’ve got a big shire cross and most ‘normal’ rugs barely cover her.

Good fitting rug for my Irish cob.
Perfect fit for my show cob. First time buyer and wasn’t sure how the rug would compare to another brand that also specialises in wider horses. Bought to take to Blair Atholl International Horse Trials and it kept him lovely and warm (he’s fully clipped).
Lovely deep fit ( no mini skirts here!) and cleared his shoulders perfectly. An amazing cut of rug for bigger,wider horses. Once he saves up his pocket money he can have another!!
Had the rug a good few weeks, but weather now poor enough to rug the big lad.
Bought the 7'6 for my 18hh2 and it fits great. Chest straps are strong, belly straps long and the tail flap is massive, and a great idea to stop it blowing up in the wind.

This is the best fitting rug I have ever bought for my cob mare, who is broad, deep and quite long. It fits just as it should, not too tight around her chest and shoulders, comfortable over her withers and a perfect length, with a lovely broad tail flap for her 'substantial' rear end! It is a good weight for her as she is unclipped and fluffy so doesn't need a heavy rug but is also rising 21 years old with arthritis so needs to be kept at a comfortable temperature whilst out in the field. It feels good quality and I think it will last her many years to come.

The light fill broad rug is just right for my fuller figure little cob. She can move around the field much better with the looser shoulder fit. Back end also no longer clinging, will buy again.
I had these rugs for my cob years ago and they were fantastic. I now have a Connemara whose front is enormous and no rug fits so I thought after trying others I’d come back to here……… nothing has changed, the fit is brilliant and he is warm and dry!!!! Such good rugs for chunky monkeys!

I had this rug with a thicker filling last winter and it was a really good fit.
The one I have just got is as perfect a fit in the length as the previous one but is tighter across the chest. No difference in the size of the horse but I didn’t want to change it due to the good fit in the length.
