Our size guide will help you determine the best fit for your horse, whether they have a broad chest and deep barrel or a more light-medium build. With unique size charts tailored to different body shapes, our rugs offer superior coverage and a secure, non-restrictive fit.

How to Measure Your Horse for the Best Rug Fit

Finding the right rug size is essential for your horse’s comfort and protection. Follow these simple steps to measure your horse accurately:

  1. Use a fabric tape measure or twine for precision.
  2. Start at the center of the chest, where the rug would fasten.
  3. Measure along the side of the body, following the curve of the shoulder, in a straight line to the furthest point of the hindquarters - not all the way to the tail. We recommend placing a broom behind your horse's hind and measuring to that point.
  4. For the most accurate results, measure in centimeters and take the measurement 2-3 times.

Items that have been worn or soiled cannot be returned or exchanged should you later feel the size isn't a good fit on your horse.

MEDIUM WEIGHT HORSE TURNOUT RUG

Medium weight horse turnout rug provides the perfect protection during the colder months. Horse rug liner attachments means you can easily increase the warmth of this horse turnout rug on colder days.

This horse turnout rug comes with 200g of filling for a medium weight covering for your horse. Our Epic Classic horse turnout rugs feature an advanced waterproof and breathability rating as well as an added Teflon™ treatment to repel dirt and water. Easily increase the warmth on thishorse turnout rug with the horse rug liner attachments at the wither area on the inside of the horse turnout rug and at the rear with an extra D ring by the leg straps.

This horse turnout rug is designed specifically for light - medium weight horses and ponies with a regular sized chest and neck. If you horse is a heavyweight, try our Broad Fit horse turnout rug.
