Our Classic No Fill Turnout Rug is designed for versatility and maximum all-weather protection during everyday turnout. It’s our lightest weight with no filling, ideal for year round use with our adaptable rug liner system.
Made using a tough and durable 1200 denier outer fabric coated with Dupont™ Teflon® fabric protector to repel dirt and water. It’s highly breathable and waterproof with a rating of 7,000mm+ / 5,000g/m2+ and an added waterproof membrane for enhanced weather protection. The antibacterial, anti-static lining protects your horse's coat, maintaining its natural shine and health.
Our fit-first design gives your horse complete freedom of movement, with a larger cut neckline to accommodate a broader chest, thick muscular neck and big shoulders. Lower chest fastenings that follow your horse’s natural shape, eliminating pressure at the neck and over the wither. Extra large shoulder gussets give your horse unrestricted comfort without tightness or rubbing for everyday use.
No more mini skirts! All of our rugs have the correct rug depth so your horse is fully covered and protected from the elements, including a substantial tail flap.
Security features include twin chest buckles with D rings allowing you to customise the fit depending on your horse's chest size. Adjustable low cross surcingles to keep the rug secure during turnout, and adjustable, detachable leg straps giving you the option to have a tail fillet strap if you prefer.
For added visibility we’ve added reflective strips on all for corner and the tail flap.
One Rug, Build to Adapt. Easily add warmth to this rug as your horse needs with our secure rug liner attachments at the wither and an extra D ring at the leg strap area. Our rug liners are available in 50g, 100g, 200g, 300g giving you plenty of options throughout the year, eliminating the need for multiple turnout rugs.
To give your horse more coverage there is an option to add a detachable neck cover.
Also commonly referred to as a rain sheet, turnout sheet, New Zealand rug or no fill turnout rug.

The rug was dispatched and arrived quickly. It was packaged well. It fits Mabel who is 14.1 very well giving great coverage over her bottom and plenty of room around her shoulders and chest. The Quality is very very good and the colour true to the images online. I ordered her usual size.
We have not yet used it in the field as it is still warm and had little rain but I don’t foresee any problems.

This rug fits my large lad amazingly well. He is an Irish Draft with broad shoulders and I struggled with his main being rubbed off, no trouble this time with this rug. I won’t be shopping anyway else.

Could not find a rug to fit my oversized Connemara but these rugs work well for him. I possibly should have gone down a size. Like that you can attach a no fill neck to a thicker rug (as long as you don’t care about it matching!)

Fits my Soth German Drafthorse very good. If it is worth 5 stars, I can review in a few months. It depends on, if it is waterproof and if it is resistant to the mouthes of the other horses ....

Great fit for my 1 6.3 Irish draft x cob and using previous purchased liner with it. Rug is very water proof. Have purchased rugs before and always found them to be of excellent quality and great fit .

Great fit on my rather large Percheron x Irish cob. She has a big neck and needs a draft fit rug. Rugs are well put together with a very generous tail flap.

Love the size of the tail flap which was a big selling point. Not totally happy with the fit at the neck. I'd prefer it to come up more forward rather than sit on the wither. Its possible the broad fit wasn;t the best choice for my horse, but generally he is too broad for a good fit on "standard" rugs which is why I went for it. He also got very wet shoulders in the rain, probably from rain runnning down inside the rug, which again maybe due to a less than ideal fit. I was also disappointed that the top of his tail/ bum got quite wet - clearly the seam at top of tail flap is not watertight. I bought this rug to replace a weatherbeeta he's had for many years and which is less waterproof than it used to be. I'm not sure he's actually better off in this rug.
